70 max is a way for people to join together, take action and collectively make a difference.
Research shows that curbing our speed on the motorway could create a significant CO2 reduction. We didn’t know that until recently and therefore presume that there are others out there like us. 70 max is here to share this information.
The researchers ask the government to enforce speed restrictions to achieve the predicted CO2 emissions reduction. This is a logical suggestion (is it the law after all). However, we do not belive that waiting for legislation is a good idea so invite you to do you bit, enforce your own speed limit and feel a part of a larger group doing the same thing.
As we gain momentum we will publish figures to show how we are all doing together to give us all a lift as we watch the speedo on the M4.
One day would also like to give you more information on your specific car and suggest other ways to save money and carbon. We would even like to help you fit cruise control (we have been driving at 70 for a while now and sometimes lapse). If you have any ideas please post a comment below.
